University HPC Clusters

The University HPC team maintains several generations of HPC clusters, funded through a combination of NSF MRI grants, and ongoing funding from the colleges & VPR.

These clusters are best suited to parallel computation using MPI across multiple servers, but also contain a few unique resources for high memory computing or GPU computing when the need arises.  Jobs can use multiple nodes (servers) at once, and can run for up to 2 weeks at a time.

The LAS college has invested in the Condo & Nova clusters to ensure we can provide access to any researchers in our college.  If you have jobs that you believe would be well-suited for this type of hardware, please contact us via email at researchit@iastate.edu.
