Nova will be undergoing routine maintenance on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.
Jobs with time limits that cross the maintenance window will automatically be held and started once work completes.
Remember to copy data off the cluster before the maintenance if you will need it while the cluster is not available.
After the maintenance VSCode users will have to use the VSCode Tunnel App (https://research.it.iastate.edu/using-vs-code-cluster#New%20VSCode%20App) connecting to compute nodes instead of logging to the nova-login-* or nova-vscode nodes. This change is implemented to improve experience for all cluster users since otherwise VSCode processes often rend login nodes unusable.
